What is a Stopwatch?
A stopwatch is a timing device used to measure the amount of time that elapses between its activation and deactivation. It counts *up* from zero, allowing you to precisely record durations. Many stopwatches, including this one, also feature a "lap" function to record intermediate times within a longer event.
How does the Stopwatch work?
- Click the "Start" button to begin timing. The display will show the elapsed time counting upwards.
- Click "Pause" to temporarily halt the timer. The elapsed time will freeze. Click "Start" again to resume from where you left off.
- While the timer is running, click "Lap" to record the current elapsed time without stopping the main timer. Laps are displayed below.
- Click "Reset" at any time (whether running or paused) to stop the timer, clear the elapsed time back to zero, and remove all recorded laps.
