What is a Presentation Timer?

A presentation timer is a tool designed specifically to help speakers manage their time effectively during talks, lectures, or presentations. It provides clear visual feedback on the time remaining, often with optional warnings, allowing speakers to pace themselves, cover all key points, and finish within the allocated time slot, enhancing professionalism and audience engagement.

How does this Presentation Timer work?

  1. Set the total allowed duration for your presentation in minutes.
  2. Optionally, select which warning alerts you want to receive (Halfway, 2 Minutes Left, 1 Minute Left). Alerts require sound to be enabled.
  3. Click "Start" to begin the countdown.
  4. The timer displays the remaining time, changing color (green > yellow > red) as time decreases. A progress bar also visually represents the elapsed time.
  5. If enabled, warning sounds will play at the selected points.
  6. Use "Pause" and "Resume" as needed. "Reset" returns the timer to the set duration.
  7. A final sound plays when the timer reaches zero.
  8. Use the volume icon to toggle all sounds (warnings and end alert).
